we are registered to accommodate adults over 18 years of age, both male and femail. The maximum number of residents is 40, we cater for residents with all levels of dependency IE low/medium/high/maximum. The dependency level of the resident is assigned using Barthel & Waterlow Assessments
We also accommodate residents with special needs ie Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), Special dietary requirements, psychiatry of old age. We provide home from home for residents requiring long term care, we also accommodate residents who require respite, convalescent, palliative and post operation care

your care plan will be created following admission families are invited to participate in this process. Your care needs, your care choices, preferences, wishes, likes and dislikes.
We operate with an open visiting policy within Ardeen Nursing Home, however to protect our residents we ask that all visitors sign in and sign out on entering and leaving the nursing home. for privacy and security reasons we would ask visitors to refrain from visiting between 10pm and 10am however, if someone is ill there is no restriction on visiting unless there is a specific request and this will be monitored by the nurse in charge.
Rooms and facilities are provided to meet with visitors in private. All residents have access to WiFi telephones and daily newspapers. Special events i.e seasonal parties, community events and visitors from volunteer and career groups, all family members are encouraged to partake in events. Our beautifully landscaped gardens provide residents with an opportunity to enjoy outdoor activates in a safe and secure environment.
Residents Meetings are head monthly.
Our residents health and well being is paramount, you will be nutritious meals of your choosing providing a varied and balanced diet using fresh and local produce. Regular nutritional assessments are carried out, menu analysis is conducted six monthly to ensure nutritional content is maintained.
All your daily routines will be carried out at your pace with emphasis on maximizing personal control enabling choice ensuring respect and dignity at all times. We encourage residents to bring in personal items ie Pictures, Furniture, Photographs
Our oratory provides residents with a peaceful and private setting for prayer and worship our Chaplin visiting regularly to administer Sacrament and of sick and Eucharist mass is celebrated on Sunday and Holy days
