An Invitation to stillness
“Let Your good Spirit lead me” (Psalm 143: 10)
We are the people of God
We are called to be his disciples
We are empowered by the Holy Spirit
We are the Body of Christ
The Lord our God has given to us his word
Then we can learn from him
The Lord our God has put his words on our lips and in our hearts
Then we can learn together and serve him in unity
And know what it means to be the people of God.
We are a richly blessed people,
We rejoice ,we give thanks, we share, we serve.
“Day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved”. (Acts 2:47)

There is probably no other way
To understand God’s nature
Except to daily stand
Under the waterfall of divine mercy
And then become conduits
Of the same flow.
O most merciful Redeemer,
Friend and brother,
May I know thee more clearly,
Love thee more dearly,
And follow thee more nearly.
Richard of Chichester
A pure heart knows no bounds to its capabilities.
But what constitutes a pure heart?
A pure heart is unencumbered, without worry,
And not attached to things.
It does not desire to have its own way
But is content to be immersed in God’s loving will.
A pure heart is forgetful of self.
No work is too trivial to be lifted up
In its power and importance by a pure heart.
